Xenophobia in South Africa


The South African government has deployed the South African National Defence Force to help protect foreigners who have been victims of xenophobic attack. The soldiers were deployed in Alexandra within Johannesburg which had experienced the worst cases of murder and looting of properties as the xenophobic wave spread in SA. According to the South Africa Defence minister Nosiviwe Mapisa –Nqakula at least seven people have died so far as a result of the attacks, the most notable was the murder of Emmanuel Sithole an immigrant from Mozambique who was hacked to death in the full glare of cameras.

I was Afraid I had Cancer- Jeremy Clarkson



Jeremy Clarkson the popular, award winning TV program co-host of Top Gear which was aired on BBC has claimed that just 2 days before his fracas with the TV producer Tymon which resulted to termination of his contract with the program, his doctor had warned him that a lump on his tongue maybe cancerous.  Jeremy is alleged to have physically and verbally attacked Tymon who was admitted in the hospital. Jeremy who is loved by millions of fans worldwide is said to be thinking of launching another show but the details are not yet clear.

900 Migrants Maybe dead

Over 900 immigrants are feared to be dead in the Mediterranean sea off the coast of Libya. The migrants are feared to have died after a boat they were travelling in to Europe capsized. This comes at a time that the number of migrants to Europe especially to Italy has greatly increased. this year alone its feared over 1500 people have dead in the sea while attempting to enter Europe from Africa and the Middle East, this is the highest number of immigrants to have died in tragic sea accident. It's feared more people may die as the conflicts in the Middle East intensify coupled with civil strive in Libya and biting poverty in large parts of Africa for many immigrants to seek refuge in Europe.

John Key New Zealand PM Apologies





The new Zealand PM John Key has apologized for pulling a waitress hair in an Auckland café. The PM said he meant no offence to the girl, according to him this was a practical joke. But according to the girl John Key pulled his hair over a period of 6 months whenever he visited the café.
